Last Day of School (For Real This Time)

Five things to know and do in Somerville on Friday, Dec. 20.

1) Last Day of School Before Winter Break
Okay, we're serious this time. Last Friday we mistakenly said it was the last day of school before winter break. That's because we like to promote truancy. But seriously, folks, today is the last day of school before winter break. Classes resume on Jan. 2.

2) Argenziano School Winter Concert
The school's concert is at 9:15 a.m. today.

3) Historic Somerville Afghans
Check out this afghan that features images of different historic sites in Somerville. If you want one, they cost $65. You can buy them at City Hall (call 617-625-6600 ext. 2500) or at the Somerville Museum.

4) Deadline: St. Polycarp Affordable Apartments Application
The Somerville Community Corporation is building 31 new affordable apartments in its St. Polycarp development. If you want to enter your name into the lottery for one of the apartments, the deadline for doing so is today. Here's more information.
