Entering Somerville Opening Reception, Win Pass to Poetry Slam

Also, Foodie Crawl volunteers wanted, and the Boston Breakers are out of the playoffs. A look at things to know and do in Somerville today.

1) "Entering Somerville" Opening Reception
This exhibit features art created and inspired by Somerville and the people of Somerville. The opening reception is tonight at the Nave Gallery Annex, 53 Chester St., at 6 p.m.

2) Win a Free Pass to the National Poetry Slam
Click on the link above to learn how. As a hint, you'll need to find Poetry Slam posters around Somerville, Cambridge and Boston, photograph yourself and use some social media. 

3) Looking for Foodie Crawl Volunteers

4) Boston Breakers out of Playoffs
The Boston Breakers beat the Portland Thorns Wednesday, coming back to win 2-1 after being behind a goal, according to an email from the team. Sadly, Western New York also won on Wednesday, eliminating the Breakers from the playoffs.

5) Weather
Showers and possible thunderstorms with a high around 79. The weekend is looking nice.
