Fluff Festival
The annual Fluff Festival—one of Somerville's biggest events of the year—takes place Sept. 29 in Union Square. It celebrates, yes, marshmallow Fluff, which was invented in Union Square. There will be performances, a Pharaoh of Fluff competition, games for kids and adults and lots of Fluff-inspired food. People dress in costume and generally have a good time. It takes place Saturday beginning at about 3 p.m.
