The Fiddlers of Inishbofin

The Burren, 247 Elm St, Somerville, MA | Get Directions »
$25.00

The Fiddlers of Inishbofin are a group of Ireland's finest musicians who gather and travel to musical sessions. When the group travels to the picturesque isle of Inishbofin, to celebrate a fellow fiddler's birthday, sparks begin to fly between the two most accomplished and competitive fiddlers, Fiona and Liam.

Stories of the fiddlers' lives are brought to life through the musical compositions and arrangements of Galway maestro, Tommy McCarthy, and writing of acclaimed Boston playwright, Peter Holm (Author of "Man of Inniskeen's Green Journey" and "Permanent Designs").

The Fiddler's Of Inishbofin is an unforgettable comedy of mishaps, traditional Irish and contemporary music, and a story that defines, or almost blurs, the line between love and hate.

The all Irish cast, hailing from Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Dublin, deliver a truly authentic performance that will have you believing you're at one of their sessions back in Ireland.

The cast includes:
Janine Gunning (Fiona)
Brendan Quirke (Liam)
Shane Lally
Joanne O'Connell
Dessy Rushe
Michelle Glynn
Tommy McCarthy

Live music will be performed by SeanOg, Tom Bianci, Hugh Mc Gowan and Louise and Tommy McCarthy (who have performed at symphony hall with the Chieftans).

Tickets are $25 (Proceeds will be donated to Breast Cancer research). Seating is VERY limited, so get your tickets today!
