February 14, 2013: On February 14th 2013, at 7:00pm, Somerville will join with activists around the world for ONE BILLION RISING, the largest day of action in the history of V-Day, the global activist movement to end violence against women and girls.
Join us for a Flash Mob in Davis Square at 7pm on February 14th . Join us to speak up, dance, connect, and rise at the same time as cities from around the globe to demand an end to violence against girls and women. Listen to women from your community speak up about their experiences. Connect with community in Somerville to SAY NO to violence against women and girls!
One Billion Rising is an event organized internationally by noted activist Eve Ensler, author of the "Vagina Monologues."
Somerville will come together on this day to show our commitment to ending violence against women
