Join Saloon’s Beverage Director, Manny Gonzales and Chef Derek Clough and escape to Mexico with a night of mezcal cocktails and inspired cuisine on Thursday, February 28th!
During the evening in Saloon’s semi-private dining space, enjoy a variety of seasonal Mezcal cocktails, as Manny introduces each and assists in distinguishing the flavors, spices and notes. Warm up from the inside out as you learn what makes this liquor different from its all too common cousin – tequila. Small plates from Saloon Chef Derek Clough will accompany and pair perfectly with the sexy drinks.
Spicy Shrimp Tostadas
Oaxacan Sour: Mezcal with muddled avocado, lime and clementine, dry shaken with an egg white with a splash of soda.
Carnitas and Chorizo Rellenos
Pascal’s Fire: Mezcal with winter squash infused Spanish brandy, Carpano, cocoa and jalapeno infused tequila, chocolate mole bitters and spiced dram.
Almond Cajeta Flan
Cabritas Y Almendras: Mezcal with Benedictine, house made goat’s almond milk, Mexican coffee and a galleta flaca (skinny cookie.)
