DIY 101: Alterations & Mending Workshop
Learn how to make easy repairs to your clothing by hand to save you money and extend the life of your clothes!
This three-hour class is perfect for a vintage clothing collector or anyone looking to expand their DIY knowledge. We will teach you how to make basic alterations like hemming, replacing closures (hook & eye, snaps, and zippers), and sewing secure buttons. The class will also cover basic hand sewing skills and stitches, mending techniques, and ways to store and preserve both your vintage and modern clothes.

More About Boston Vintage Factory
Boston Vintage Factory is a studio which teaches classes on vintage fashion design and techniques from the 1930s to late '50s. Additional subjects taught include retro-themed hair, make-up, art and dance. Classes are small, and all tools and materials needed are supplied by the Factory.
