David Johnston is no rock & roll punk. He is a man of rock & roll. Johnston has been offering a definitive style of songwriting, as well as contributing his distinctive guitar playing and sound to many veteran and aspiring Boston musicians. Johnston is best known for his guitar work and songwriting efforts with the Cambridge cult group One Thin Dime, which also featured singer/songwriter Tim Hughes, saxophonist Dana Colley of Morphine, drummer John Sands (Aimee Mann) and bassist Rob Jeffries (Barrance Whitfield and the Savages).
Also a $4 burger night.

The chalkboard outside of Bull McCabe's promising "Live Music, great food, cold beer" sums up this Union Square tavern. Formerly Tir Na Nog, this old-school Irish pub features team trivia and karaoke, as well as live music. While the menu consists of traditional pub fare, it also offers $4 burgers Tuesdays through Thursdays, as well as a traditional Irish breakfast on weekends.
