If your child enjoyed the HONK! festival this year, she might consider joining a similar band that meets every Saturday. Second Line Social Aid and Pleasure Society Brass Band welcome boys and girls with or without musical experience and instruments to reherse and eat snacks.

The Parts and Crafts Collective is a Somerville-based educational program offering classes, workshops, weekend events and open shop Mondays at the Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church on Powder House Road. Conceived as a "free schooling" experiment, the collective provides the resources, supervision and safe environment for self-directed and interactive arts, science and engineering learning.
