DESCRIPTION:Parkour\, also known as l'art du d&eacute\;placement or freer
 unning\, was born in the banlieues (suburbs) of Paris in the 1990s and h
 as become one of the world&rsquo\;s fastest growing sports.&nbsp\; While
  often recognized from the fantastic images seen on YouTube\,&nbsp\;movi
 es\, or&nbsp\;television\, the sport/discipline/art form is actually a f
 orm of movement that has roots in a wide variety of physical disciplines
  including gymnastics\, martial arts\, climbing\, and athletics. Practit
 ioners\, known as traceurs\, train to develop strength\, speed\, enduran
 ce\, precision\, spatial awareness\, dynamism\, and creativity\, in orde
 r to be as fluid\, functional and liberated as possible in physical move
 ment and to overcome physical obstacles.&nbsp\; Traceurs also develop a 
 way of&nbsp\;thinking based on rigorous self-discipline\, autonomous act
 ion and self-will that allows them to overcome mental obstacles related 
 to their movements. &nbsp\;\nClasses are open to practionners of all fit
 ness and experience levels (Beginners welcome!) but will focus on the ba
 sic techniques of parkour including vaulting\, climbing\, and jumping. &
 nbsp\;Classes will also include a number of exercises to improve strengt
 h and fitness levels to ensure the safe long-term practice of the sport.
