Our Swinging Singing Moonlighter's from the Council on Aging went to the Lowell Spinner's game last Friday night and performed the National Anthem.  I got to go out to the field with the group as they got ready to sing under the leadership of Jimmy Del Ponte.  It was very special as we came out on the field.  Some of the singers were nervous, others excited.  It was the first time they would be singing in front of such a large group.  For me it was special for us to be singing the National Anthem.   We have the most amazing group of older adults in Somerville and they have contributed so much and continue to do so in our community so it was so wonderful seeing them leading all of us in this wonderful way in our amazing country.  Thank you Lowell Spinners for having us!
