A look at Barack Obama's "Founding Fathers."
Think you know about who influenced Barack Obama in the years before his Presidency? Think again.
We've all heard about his 20 years with Reverend Jeremiah Wright and his controversial relationship with the former Weatherman activist Bill Ayers but in the 90 minute documentary which opened this weeked at the Revere Showcase Cinema, three other key mentors are studied.
The first and most influential mentor was collectivist and anti-colonialist Barack Obama Sr.
WND.com reports on Barack Obama Sr.: “All of my life, I carried a single image of my father, one that I tried to take as my own,” Obama wrote in “Dreams From My Father.” What was that image? It was “the father of my dreams, the man in my mother’s stories, full of high-blown ideals.”
"Obama adds, 'It was into my father’s image … that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself.'
"Though Obama said little about what those “ideals” were, they crystallized in the form of a 1965 paper, written by the senior Obama and published in the East African Journal. In that paper, titled, “Problems Facing Our Socialism,” the elder Obama advocated the communal ownership of land and even the forced confiscation of privately controlled land. He also called for the nationalization of “European” and “Asian” owned enterprises, and advocated handing over control of these operations to the “indigenous” black population. Further, Obama’s father wanted to increase taxes on the rich, even up to the 100 percent level, arguing that “there is no limit on taxation if the benefits derived from public services by society measures up to the cost in taxation which they have to pay.” Incidentally, this concept is not totally foreign to the younger Obama, whose plan to “spread the wealth around” by raising taxes conceptually mimics his fathers plan." The next mentor in Obama's America 2016 is Roberto Unger.
About him, Summit.org says, "It is because Barack Obama is himself a radical Fabian Socialist with a revolutionary bias! It is no accident that one of the President’s major professors at Harvard Law School was Roberto Unger, a radical Marxist. Unger is quoted as stating, 'I am a leftist and by conviction as well as temperament a revolutionary. Any association of mine with Barack Obama in the course of the campaign could do only harm.' The newest twist to the Roberto Unger story is from HuffingtonPost.com entitled, Roberto Unger, Obama's Former Harvard Law School Professor, Says The President 'Must Be Defeated'
And certainly the most troubling mentor is Frank Marshall Davis who is the subject of a new book entitled, "The Communist - Frank Marshall Davis: The Untold Story of Barack Obama's Mentor by Paul Kengor, Ph.D.

WND.com says about Frank Marshall Davis: "As a teen, Obama’s mother abandoned him in Hawaii so she could go to Indonesia to seek a Ph.D. At the age of 16, left on his own, Barack Obama developed a relationship with a non-family member – reputed Marxist Frank Marshall Davis. Davis, a former Chicago resident, was a member of the Communist Party USA and an apologist for the Soviet Union. The 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What’s more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee, accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front organizations. Obama describes “Frank and his old Black Power dashiki self” as advising him before he left for Occidental College in 1979 at the age of 18. According to Deadline Hollywood the documentary is currently the 4th highest grossing movie this weekend. It's worth a look.

Jim, I'm very disappointed in you not vetting your story. The Associated Press has an article showing how much fiction went into this crazy movie. Also, as you know, I'm a film critic and last weekend was one of the softest weekends this year for movies. The hardcore "tea party" people and their friends show up for what is clearly a racist movie. Now watch the mud fly because a statement was made that the GOP is engaging in sheer racism.

I read the AP story which says,
"D'Souza says Obama removed a bust of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill from the Oval Office because Churchill represented British colonialism. White House curator William Allman said the bust, which had been on loan, was already scheduled to be returned before Obama took office. Another bust of Churchill is on display in the president's private residence, the White House says."

So if you want to keep repeating nonsense while Mitt Romney failed to address our troops in Afghanistan, how are you helping the country out? Any paper can make a bold claim that a film has "shocked" the industry; it is plummeting down already, the wingnuts came out during the two softest weekends of the entire year and bought a few tickets, and if it weren't election time the film wouldn't have had even these 15 little minutes of infamy. It is "swift boating", plain and simple. Lies designed to discredit a good president because the ex-Governor of Massachusetts has no plan, didn't give us any indication he would know what the heck he would do in office, he just wants to be president because he's rich and it is something for him to do. Obama/Biden 2012. The only choice.

MO, as someone who watches BoxOfficeMojo daily it is clear that a minor flick like 2016 got to sneak in during the two softest weeks of the year. "quiet bombshell" - look at the returns for June, July and see how weak the film actually is in regards to real numbers. While most major releases are in the 50m, 80m, 100 million range, it's under 20m. Not very good for a film latching onto an election cycle.

Their plan, ella, is to throw America back into the dark ages, with women barefoot and pregnant, children working in factories and the rest of us stuck in the poor house. Mr. Morse, Romney's plan keeps changing. Ryan had a plan that Romney doesn't want. You don't want to see the Democratic plan because you seem obsessed with propaganda, as Raymay put it. Luciano, people here were asking for a plan. Personally I don't have much confidence in Campaign promises and/or plans from ANY party. I'm still waiting for my Real Estate tax reduction from Gov. Patrick.

"When I'm inaugurated muslim anger will ease" - President Gutsy Call Obama. Not to sound racist here raymay & Ella but I guess the racists in Libya didn't buy into that one. What did you think of all those riled up hothead racists with narrow views burning your great president's picture last week? As well as hanging him in effigy. Don't they know it's a hate crime to do that?. I guess they just don't feel the "progressive" love. The Klan (Republican Party) must have a middle east chapter I suppose. "When I'm elected the oceans will stop rising". We'll save that one for another day.

..The romney ryan plan is ..if you are a veteran, disabled on the jos, elderly who never worked out of home and don't have a pension..etc/ You don't pay taxes and we don't care about you. These people pay sales tax..excise taxes , property tax..Romneys statement that 47% of people listed above don't pay any taxes. Good luck in 2016..it will give you 4 years to change your tune.. what your playing now..hurts my ears.
