Alan Cohen comes each month to the Holland Street Center and shares conversation about music. He calls it "MusicalConversation". Think about when a song is played on the radio - what emotions it brings out or memories! Many years ago I was at an orientation at Tufts and they had a dance on one of the nights. The last song they played was Donna Summers "Last Dance". Every time that song plays I remember dancing on the floor with some people I had just met who become some of my closest friends at school and for generations after. It was this carefree feeling of being out there on the floor and feeling good about college coming up. We all have those special memories or thoughts when certain songs are played. Alan shares with us how listening to music relaxes us and is a form of meditation. With him, we really listen to a piece and then share our thoughts on it. He covers all types of music from the old classics, Broadway, Frank Sinatra, Springstein and more! Join us this Thursday at noon at Holland Street for a free hour of great musical conversation!
