Your Weekend: Holiday Markets, Parties and Music

Check out these five events happening in Somerville.

 

Winter Holiday Party at the Somerville Museum

Join members and volunteers of Historic Somerville Friday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at their annual holiday party at the museum. There will be music, singing, raffles and refreshments. Entrance for members and volunteers is free; paying the $25 admission gets you a 2012 membership. 

Sip & Shop at Grand

The store will offer samples of Smuttynose winter ale Saturday, Dec. 10 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 percent off gifts all weekend. Read more about Grand here

Americana Snow Ball at the Armory

Listen and dance to these four Somerville bands while attending the Armory's Snow Ball, where there will be food, drinks, circus acts and a photo booth. There is a $8 to $10 suggested donation to get in. 

Snow Mall at the Armory

The holiday marketplace, happening Sunday, Dec. 11 from noon to 6 p.m. in the performance hall, will include local vendors selling jewelry, aprons, handbags and other handmade crafts.

SLAM Local Artist Holiday Market

The Burren will host the second of three artist markets Saturday, Dec. 10 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be jewelry, pottery, glass, metal, textiles, sculpture, painting, photography, wearable art and other items.
