Brown won hands down. Warren just kept repeating her tired catch-phrases as she's done throughout the campaign. And she never answered some of the questions and concerns he raised concerning her background and her standing on issues.

Brown is a sexist jerk.......he was looking down at her the entire time with his holier-than-though attitude--rolling his eyes..... I'm sure he really beat up his step-father when he was 6 years old--give me a break.......he is a whiner --- plain and simple- "I was sexually abused, mother my was abused, i was beaten..... wah wah wah !

To the casual observor, it was a draw. But the informed voter will probably think that Warren won, if only because Broawn proved that his main so-called virtue, his "nice guy" persona, was clearly demolished by his nasty, rude, condescending attitude.He was definitely more aggressive, yet his points, taken intellectually, were so wild and off-base they made little sense. Hammering home the Indian canard, bringing up the asbestos/Traveler's Insurance case (I heard she left the case before the plaintives were screwed over by Traveler's) and lying about Warren being a typical tax and spend liberal... these were all dishonest attacks. Calling her the founder of the Occupy movment is patently absurd. Saying the college education system in this country is in the shape it is in because of Warren's $300,000 Harvard salary! What a low blow. I hope it is not effective. On the other hand, Warrene did a very poor job about reminding people of her whole heroic history as the nation's most effective advocate for consumer rights, and the chief voice in D.C. battling the banking industry malicious ways. The moderator labeling her "Harvard professor" as his only description was also detrimental. She wouldn't be running for U.S. Senate if she were just a prof ! And she didn't remind us enough that she started off in life a lot more poor than truck-driving Brown. Warren also has to show up Brown as the sleazy pol he is if she intends to win the next debate.

She needs to take lessons learned and come back next time with the real facts not only about herself but about Brown's not so bipartisan voting style ! ?

I still think there should be dance-offs instead of debates. Trum Field would be an ideal location.

But seriously, the only people who think Scott Brown won this thing are the people who didn't actually WATCH the debate. He was condescending, arrogant and stammering and sputtering all over the place. Why? Because he was CALLED ON HIS RECORD. Which SUCKS.

And on another matter -- "seesawing" and "swapping small leads"? Uhhh ... no. There has been ONE poll, conducted by a conservative source that has SB leading EW. All the others that have come out have EW up.

Daniel, and others, you are way off base. You need to stop listening to one-sided news stories and broaden your mind. The Traveler's Insurance story, which I had never heard of before, was important because it shows that Warren has not always been for the middle class as she so often states. I found it interesting that she had no answer for the assertion. And she called herself the founder when she said that she laid out the 'intellectual' basis for the OWS movement. But that was when people thought the movement was cool, she didn't repeat the comment once they lost popularity. Her Harvard salary is important because it points out one of the reasons tuition is too high. If Professors can earn $350,000 for teaching 1 class, as she does, tuition has to be through the roof, and therefore unattainable to her beloved middle class. She teaches very few middle class students, I'm sure. Look into her background, she grew up at least middle class if not a little higher. She did not grow up poor. And she certainly wasn't poor when she was buying foreclosed properties and flipping them for huge profits. One of which had been foreclosed on while the son was in Iraq fighting for our country. And of course the Indian thing is important, with records unreleased, because it's possible that she and/or Harvard committed fraud. Harvard was being called out for not having minority professors until they hired their first 'woman of color'(Warren).

Linda consider why Harvard is paying her 350k is it because she teaches one class or because she is a public figure who has had an impact on how consumer finance affects the individual. if she were just going through the speaker bureau would what would she make for 20 some odd talks? Lastly and most to your point... the school she teaches for has a policy that states "Harvard Financial Aid Initiative for low and moderate income students, under which families with incomes currently below $60,000 are not expected to contribute to college costs" thats taken directly from the financial ad website

Matt, I've dug just a little deeper:
~Warren was not a 'public figure' when she began earning $350,000/year for teaching 1 class. However, she was, on paper, a 'woman of color', exactly what Harvard needed to satisfy their lack of minority faculty. Oddly, once she received tenure, she stopped referring to herself as an Indian. Harvard, did, however, promote her as the first 'woman of color' on their faculty (by the way even if she were 1/32nd Cherokee as she claims, it is not enough to claim official Native American heritage). Yes, I'm aware that Harvard offers free tuition to low income students who QUALIFY for admittance. That's laudable, but I'd like to see figures somewhere on how many of these students are admitted each year.
~I find it odd that the person who claims to have spent her life working for the middle class would take advantage of middle- and lower- income families who have lost their homes to foreclosure. Illegal? No. Not fighting for the middle class? Yes.
~Warren did not grow up disadvantaged, her family would have probably been considered to be on the upper end of middle class, if not beyond that.
~The bigger problem for Warren right now is has she been practicing law in Massachusetts without a license, and why did she relinguish her New Jersey license just 2 weeks ago?
