A fire gutted the first floor of a home on Pearl Street, near McGrath Highway, Tuesday morning. Seven people were displaced, and so was a cat.

Film crews were on Hudson Street Thursday and Friday to film scenes from a made-for-TV movie starring Julia Stiles.

Ex-Somerville Priest in Child Molestation Case Found Dead
The former priest of Saint James Episcopal Church in Teele Square was arrested and charged, in early September, with sexual assaulting a child when he served in Somerville in the 1990s and 2000s. On Wednesday night he was found dead in a car on the sixth floor of a Government Center parking garage.

Former Winter Hill Gang Boss, Howie Winter, Indicted on Extortion Charges
Howie Winter, 83, former head of the notorious Winter Hill Gang in Somerville, was indicted by a Middlesex Grand Jury Thursday on charges of extortion.

Mayor Announces "Reboot" of Lincoln Park Rehab Plans
After some heated public meetings about plans to rehabilitate Lincoln Park, near Union Square, the mayor announced a "reboot" of the process that will allow neighbors to have more input into the park design.
