The Homeless Coalition does a good job, but it is nowhere near enough. They have one shelter for single men. I believe it has 6 beds, and you can stay long-term so the only way to get in is to get on a waiting list and call every single day to check your status. Not easy to do if you're homeless.

If there is one place in Somerville we should be helping, this is it. Money would be well spent here than on fancy brick sidewalks, bike tracks, paths and whatever. That $20000 raise for the mayor would have been better served here.
