Unlicensed Driver Rolls Over on Route 93 North; Car Catches Fire
The one-car crash occurred at about 12:15 a.m. Sunday.
A 1997 Toyota Camry rolled over at about 12:15 a.m. Sunday on Route 93 North in Somerville, near exit 31, according to State Police. The vehicle then caught fire, police said.
The highway was shut down for about 15 minutes at exit 31, as emergency personnel, including Somerville firefighters, extricated the vehicle’s driver and only occupant, 49-year-old Hermes Monroy Gonzalez, of Dorchester, police said.
Gonzalez was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with undisclosed injuries and cited for driving without a license, according to police.
The one-car crash happened in the center lane of Route 93 North, police said.

Brian that was an ignorant statement to make, and a poor assumption that all hispanics are illegals. Your the reason why people outside of Massachusetts think all Bostonians are bigots.

indisputable fact:he's more likely to be a criminal border violator than a guy with a non-spanish name. his lack of a license ,(but no charge of operating after revocation.. he never had a license at age 49) points to a reasonable suspicion that he is a criminal border violator. this is a "racist fact" according to angry, intolerant, self-loathing white liberals who hate america and americans. pretty funny because any american found in mexico, canada or panama without a correct entry visa is arrested and held without bail until deportation ( plus possible imprisonment).

Your providing an opinion based on what? Speculation? Mr Gonzalez is my cousin. He is NOT an illegal alien.Mr Gonzalez fell asleep at the wheel, and unfortunately crashed his car.An accident that could happen to anyone. Mr Gonzalez didn't have his license on him, therefore being "unlicensed" at the time of accident. So when you make very poor assumptions of people you dont know. Then James get the facts, or you sound just as ignorant as Brian. However that rambling on white liberal rhetoric just may have substantiated my last comment.

Goodman: I stated incontrovertable facts. You haven't said a word to refute them except childish namecalling, and can't. Nobody cares how I "sound" or how you "feel" . Gonzales was charged with NOT HAVING A LICENSE AT ALL and your remarks are a flat-out lie. You are also not related to Gonzales. Fortunately, Gonzales was locked up. You lose.

James, James, James...you are wrong. Gonzales is home receiving care due injures he sustained in the accident. Both Mr. Goodman and myself are related to Hermes, so YOU sir are mistaken. It is a shame that you are so passionate and opinionated about an incident that doesn't affect you and that you clearly know nothing about. You make comments about Canada, Panama, and Mexico being strict on their policies regarding identification but unless you've been to those countries and have been in a situation where you've lost your passport, visa or license, all you are doing is speculating...especially as it pertains to my cousin. In fact you're being quite reckless and are coming off as childish. Come now, a Non-spanish sounding name?? The amount of ignorance that pours out of each sentence you've written is the same poison that is destroying this country, and is the same karma that will catch up to you and ruin your meager existence on this earth. Fact: you are a moron...you lost when you were born.

Goodman and Troy are the same person, and he has been exposed as a pathological liar. Notice these two secret identities both intentionally misquote contributors, accuse them of things they did not say, etc, and that the two "people" have no factual information to contribute, simply namecalling. Goodman AKA Troy also lies about what criminal charge ware filed against Gonzales in a criminal complaint at the Somerville District Court; a charge covered in the original article.
Simply a hysterical shrieking fit by an unhinged liberal extremist who is angry that americans disagree with him, and upset that discussion of the facts of the case leaves him empty handed.

Despite Goodman's rediculous comments; it is not necessary to leave the USA or even leave one's living room to be fully aware of the Immigrations and entry laws and policies of various countries. Goodman has no knowledge whasoever or any contributor's travel experience. Already fully de-bunked, Goodman takes it one step further by babbling incoherently about factual statements as "speculation" in both of his posts; yet another childish example of having multiple secret identities online.
Goodman AKA Troy is a pathological liar who has never met Gonzales. Claiming to be his cousin and later contradicting this by claiming to be his friend; and lying about criminal charges which have been published by SPD is so unbelieveable that it exposes him still further.
Gonzales, according to the SPD has no current license as verified by RMV records prior to his being arrested and charged with a crime; and further verified by the incontrovertable fact that no other state has issued him a license. He was not charged with operating after revocation, because he has never had a license.
These facts, as stated earlier, would lead any rational person to believe that he is probably a criminal border vilolator. Perhaps he has a license in Mexico. If he had a visa, he'd have a license here too.
Either way, Gonzales was charged, and the contributor's valid question remains. Was ICE notified? I Shall notify them myself.
