Topping Off at Tufts, Interviewing People on TV

And a farmers market, singing and a meeting for young Somervillians.

Tufts sports center gets a roof
Tufts University is building a 42,000-square-foot sports facility on its Medford/Somerville campus. Called the Steve Ticsh Sports and Fitness Center, it's been under construction for about four months, and there's a topping off ceremony today at 11:30 a.m. It's in the Medford part of the Tufts campus, just across the Somerville/Medford border.

Learn to interview people on TV
Somerville Community Access Television is offering a workshop tonight in video production. Specifically, participants will learn how to shoot interviews. The class is from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and it costs $35 for SCATV members and $50 for non-members.

Davis Square Farmers Market
If you want some local summer produce, make your way to the Davis Square Farmers Market from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Day and Herbert streets.

Somerville Sunsetters and Young Somerville Advisory Group
The singing group is scheduled to perform at Ciampa Manor, near Davis Square, at 7 p.m. The Young Somerville Advisory Group, which encourages Somerville residents aged 21 to 35 to be civically engaged, meets at 6:30 p.m. at the Tufts Administration Building, 167 Holland St.

Weather and Red Sox
Is that sun in the forecast? I think it is. Today is expected to be sunny, with highs around 80. The Red Sox play the Rays today at 1:35 p.m. It's a good day to call in sick and recover from your cold at Fenway Park.
