Somerville Illuminations Tour
The annual trolley tour of Somerville's decorated houses—some of them are truly something to behold—takes place Saturday beginning at 4:30 p.m. It begins at City Hall, and there are scheduled tours throughout the evening. You need a ticket (sold at Blue Cloud Gallery) and if it's too late to get one, you can buy a map of participating houses at Blue Cloud Gallery or Magpie and take the tour on your own. The annual Illuminations Bike Tour begins at 5:50 p.m. at the Somerville High School main entrance.
Historic Somerville and Somerville Museum Winter Holiday Party
Join the Somerville Museum and Historic Somerville for their first ever winter holiday party. There will be music, food, beverages, raffles and prizes and an historical costume fashion show. It's Friday at the Somerville Museum from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Jingle Bell Run
This festive run features people dressed in holiday outfits. The run begins in Davis Square at 11 a.m., and afterward there will be post-run parties at many of the local watering holes.
Arts at the Armory Snow Ball
Four bands will play the Snow Ball, including Hornography, Surf's Up Spicolo, So Sol and a surprise band. It's Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Armory.
Back Bay Ringers Holiday Concert
The handbell ensemble presents its holiday concert, "Let it Snow!" It's at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Church Somerville.
Winter Holiday Puppet Show
Puppeteer Nicola McEldowney will perform stories by Leo Lionni. The puppet show is Sunday at 1 p.m. at The Book Shop in Ball Square.
