Terrence Kennedy Wins Governor's Council Primary
Kennedy defeated Francis Flaherty and will move onto the November election unopposed.
Terrence Kennedy, a Democrat, won the Governor's Council primary for the 6th district, which includes Somerville, Cambridge, Boston and 17 other communities in Eastern Massachusetts. He defeated Francis Flaherty Thursday night by a large margin.
With 277 out of 280 precincts reporting, here are the unofficial results, according to Boston.com.

With no Republican is seeking the office, Kennedy will be unopposed in November's general election.
