In other words, all three responders pointed to a half-mile stretch of road on the same street.

On the surface, this makes sense. Summer Street is a thoroughfare that connects the outskirts of Union Square to the outskirts of Davis Square and flows down the center of the city. For drivers looking to avoid traffic and traffic lights on Highland Avenue or on Somerville Avenue and Elm Street, Summer Street offers an enticing option, one where it can be all to easy to pick up speed.
