Somerville Public Schools Closed Friday, Activities Canceled Saturday
Somerville Public Schools announced the closures Thursday afternoon.
All public schools in Somerville will be closed on Friday, Feb. 8, according to the school system's website.
Also, all school activities on Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 have been canceled, the website says.
The closures come in anticipation of a blizzard that is expected to bring up to two feet of snow and strong winds to the Somerville area Friday and Saturday.
