Somerville: Home to Best Wine Shop, Sommelier, Gourmet Pizza and Cool Cocktail

Boston Magazine announced its Best of Boston 2011 awards Tuesday, and Somerville earned 11 awards.

Somerville is home to the best wine shop in the Boston area. It's also home to the best sommelier, gourmet pizza, cool cocktail, bowling alley, barbecue, vintage clothing store, weekday brunch place and vegetarian restaurant, according to Boston Magazine.

The magazine, a glossy that covers the city's culture, restaurants and shopping scene, among other things, announced the 2011 recipients of it's Best of Boston awards Tuesday.

Somerville walked away with 11 awards.

In addition to the those listed above, the magazine also gave out honors to the best "Somerville neighborhood eats" and "Union Square eats."

The issue of the magazine hits newsstands as early as Tuesday. That said, Somerville Patch was unable to find a copy after visiting the CVS in Davis Square, the Tedeschi Food Shop in Davis Square and the 7-Eleven at Broadway and Cedar Street.

Somerville will sit down to some good wine, which comes expertly recommended, and wait for the delivery trucks to make their drop-offs.
