Resa Blatman, whose work often depicts nature and eleboarte, colorful designs, is the March Artist of the Month, according to an announcement from the Somerville Arts Council.
Blatman has had her work featured in numerous magazines and online journals, and she recently participated in a two-person show, "Landscape Remade," at Northeastern University, the announcement says.
Blatman holds an MFA in painting from Boston University and has taught graphic design at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design since 1997, according to the announcement.
