Police Booking Log: A Bank Robbery, a Knife-Wielding Bike Thief, Drug Arrests
The following arrest information was supplied by the Somerville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from May 21 to May 28. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.
Assault and battery
On May 22, Raj Gurung, 41, of 23 Franklin Ave., was arrested at 220 Washington St. (the police station) and charged with rape of a child with force, statutory rape of a child, indecent assault and battery on a child and dissiminating obscene matter to a minor. In order to protect victims, it is the policy of the Somerville Police Department not comment on incidents of sexual assault, unless there's an issue of public safety. Deputy Chief Paul Upton of the Somerville Police Department said in an email the victim and suspect were known to each other and the incident happened in the past.
On May 24, Joel Louis, 24, of 376 Prospect St., Cambridge, was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
On May 27, Raul Feliz Salinas, 39, of 156 Jaques St., was arrested at that address and chaged with aggravated assault and battery.
On May 27, Danny Andrade, 30, of 170 Hudson St., was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery.
On May 28, Benjamin Fray, 32, of Everett, was arrested at 62 Broadway and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and threat to commit crime. According to a police report, Fray tried to buy a burrito at Los Paisanos Restaurant, but he didn't have money. The report says he then left the restaurant and tried to steal a patron's bicycle that was locked outside. When the patron confronted Fray, the report says, the Everett man pulled a knife and said, "What are you going to do?" Someone in the restaurant called 911, and police arrested Fray as he was walking toward Sullivan Square, the report says.
Larceny and theft
On May 21, Timothy Walton, 25, of Boston, was arrested at 102 Fellsway West and charged with unarmed robbery. He is accused of robbing the Century Bank with a demand note.
On May 26, Steven Thomas, 24, was arrested at 75 Mystic Ave. and charged with larceny.
On May 26, Carly Noonan, 25, of Woburn, was arrested at 77 Middlesex Ave. and charged with shoplifting. She was also arrested on a warrant for shoplifting.
On May 27, Victor Jandes, 46, was arrested at 11 Homer Sq., and charged with larceny.
Drug-related arrests
On May 24, Melissa Dionne, 26, of Saugus, was arrested at 100 Broadway and charged with drug possession and committing a pedestrian violation. According to a police report, she blew past a police cruiser that had stopped to let a pedestrian cross the street in a crosswalk, and police discovered she had heroin after they pulled her over.
On May 25, James Dillard, 61, of Brockton, was arrested at 197 Elm St. and charged with drug possession and conspiracy to violate drug law. He was also arrested on warrants for drug possession and possessing a hypodermic instrument. In connection to the same incident, Susan Jones, 45, of Cambridge, was arrested at the same address and charged with conspiracy to violate drug law and being present where heroin was kept. The two were arrested in connection to an investigation into an alleged heroin dealer operating in Davis Square.
On May 26, John Pifalo, 37, of Winthrop, was arrested at 45 Day St. and charged with conspiracy to violate drug law and drug possession. In connection to the same incident, Angela Pisani, 40, of Malden, was arrested at the same address and charged with conspiracy to violate drug law, drug distribution and drug possession. Police have accused Pisani of dealing heroin in the Davis Square area. She is the same suspect accused of dealing heroin in the above-mentioned arrests of Dillard and Jones.
Operating under the influence
On May 26, James Roberts, 63, of Cambridge, was arrested on Mystic Avenue and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, speeding and lights violation.
Driving without a license
On May 23, Andrea Docanto, 21, of 77 Moreland St., was arrested at 92 Jaques St. and charged with driving with a suspended license.
Other arrests
On May 21, Baltazar Barros, 44, of Medford, was arrested at 366 Somerville Ave. and charged with disorderly conduct.
On May 21, Kwesi George, 21, of 20 Canal Lane, was arrested at that address and charged with violating an abuse prevention order.
Warrant arrests
On May 22, Megan Michelle, 42, of 3 Quincy St., was arrested at that address on a warrant for committing larceny from a person.
On May 22, Rosina Petrella, 32, of 46 South St., was arrested at 36 Mt. Pleasant St. on warrants for shoplifting, operating under the influence of drugs and drug possession.
On May 22, Danielle Rogovich, 26, of 86 Glenwood Rd., was arrested at that address on warrants for larceny, drug possession, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and trespassing.
On May 22, Stacey Attanasio, 27, of 127 Central St., was arrested at that address on a warrant for assault and battery.
On May 22, Ronald Dangeli, 53, of 83 Partridge Ave., was arrested at that address on a warrants for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.
On May 22, David Smith, 47, of 49 Marshall St., was arrested at that address on a warrant for assault with a dangerous weapon.
On May 22, Efrain Gonzalez-Zamora, 21, of Cambridge, was arrested at 220 Washington St. (the police station) on warrants for larceny of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
On May 22, Jerome Ali, 24, of Hyde Park, was arrested on Broadway on warrants for destruction of property, assault and battery, entering a dwelling at night for a felony and operating under the influence of liquor.
