Police Booking Log: Jan. 16-22

The following arrest information was supplied by the Somerville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Arrests made by the Somerville Police Department from Jan. 16 to Jan. 22. Please remember that the charges listed below do not indicate a conviction.

Assault and battery

On Jan. 16, Richard Mahoney, 38, of Magnolia, was arrested on Washington Street and charged with attempted murder and assault and battery. Mahoney is accused of choking a man.

On Jan. 16, Bernard Costello, 51, of 66 Simpson Ave. was arrested at that address and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. According to a police report, he was upset his dog ran away and trashed his apartment.

On Jan. 16, Jose Miguel-Melgar, 26, of 1 May Place, was arrested at 59 Union Square and charged with assault to murder, mayhem and assault with a dangerous weapon. Miguel-Melgar is accused of slashing a man's face with a knife.

On Jan. 20, Debra Ward and Frank Ward, of 10 Winter Hill Cir., were arrested at that address, and both were charged with assault and battery.

Drug-related arrests

On Jan. 17, Christopher Nadeau, 35, of Medford, was arrested at 220 Broadway and charged with drug possession. He is accused of having a bag of heroin

Operating under the influence

On Jan. 20, Carole Guerin, 44, of Cambridge, was arrested at 221 Beacon St. and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and leaving the scene of property damage.

On Jan. 22, Brett Neumeister, 37, of 104 Highland Ave., was arrested at 93 Union Sq. and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, lights violation, marked lanes violation, failure to signal and obstructing an emergency vehicle.

Other arrests

On Jan. 17, a 17-year-old from Glen St. was arrested on Broadway and charged with possession of a BB gun air rifle by a minor.

On Jan. 18, Trevor McSweeney, 20, of Stoneham, was arrested at 370 Medford St. and charged with breaking and entering, threat to commit crime and witness intimidation.

Warrant arrests

On Jan. 17, Leite Wilson, 25, of Everett, was arrested at 200 McGrath Highway on warrants for unlicensed operation of a vehicle and having an obstructed window.

On Jan. 18, Felix Deiby, 28, of Lynn, was arrested on Temple Road on warrants for speeding, driving with a suspended license, lights violation and other driving offenses.

On Jan. 18, John Curtin, 55, was arrested at 220 Washington St. on warrants for escaping from a municipal lockup, drug possession, drug violation near a school and conspiracy to violate drug law. In December, Curtin escaped from the Somerville Police Station during booking. According to the Somerville Police Department Facebook page, Curtin was aprehended in New Hampshire.

On Jan. 19, a 17-year-old from River Road was arrested at 91 Highland Ave. on a warrant for receiving stolen property.
