Police Booking Log: Bike Theft in Davis Square

The following arrest information was supplied by the Somerville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Assault and battery

On July 16, Elizabeth Norena, 19, of 79 Derby St., was arrested at 15 Memorial Rd. and charged with assault and battery.

On July 16, Eulogio Cruz, 52, of 45 Memorial Rd., was arrested at 45A Memorial Rd. and charged with assault and battery.

On July 19, James Halliday, 32, of 11 Putnam St., Michael Dacey, 28, of Charlestown and Reif Larson, 18, were arrested on Putnam Street and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. They are accused of almost hitting a man who was walking his dog across the street with a moving truck and then, after a verbal exchange, punching, knocking to the ground and kicking the man. They told police the man pulled a straight edge razor on them.

Larceny, theft and shoplifting

On July 17, Rene Garcia, 37, of 413 Somerville Ave., was arrested at 276 Elm St. and charged with larceny and possession of burglarious instruments. According to a police report, Garcia is accused of stealing, at about 2 a.m., a bicycle that was in front of Chipotle Mexican Grill in Davis Square. He allegedly told police he saw the bicycle chained up there every day, so he decided to take it, according to the report.

On July 20, Alex Dejorge, 37, of Watertown, was arrested at 26 Loring St. and charged with receiving stolen property. He was also arrested on a warrant for larceny. Dejorge is accused of being in possession of a stolen 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, according to a police report.

Drug-related arrests

On July 19, Jamil Bowden, 20, of Malden, was arrested on Mystic Avenue and charged with drug possession to distribute, drug possession, conspiracy to violate drug law, drug violation near a school and park and possession of a dangerous weapon. In connection to the same incident, Charolette Kennedy, 21, of Everett, was arrested and charged with drug possession to distribute, drug possession, conspiracy to violate drug law and drug violation near a school and park. Bowden is accused of selling crack cocaine and hiding 21 bags of the drugs in his “derriere.”

Driving without a license

On July 16, Paulo Neto, 47, of 418 Medford St., was arrested at 543 Broadway and charged with operating with a suspended license.

On July 17, Evence Joseph, 40, of Everett, was arrested at 18 Paulina St. and charged with operating with a suspended license.

Other arrests

On July 19, William Reardon, 52, was arrested at 92 Highland Ave. and charged with disorderly conduct.

On July 21, Wilfredo Velasquez, 31, of 103 Gilman St., Edwin Grossett, 28, of Dorchester, Manuel Marroquin, 17, of 34 North St., and a juvenile were arrested at 300 Alewife Brook Parkway and charged with trespassing and violating open container laws. In connection to the same incident, Francisco Aponte, 18, of 153 Alewife Brook Parkway, was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and trespassing. According to a police report, most of the young men were drinking at Dilboy Field.

Warrant arrests

On July 16, Viviane Barreto, 30, of Roxbury, was arrested on Broadway on warrants for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seatbelt and making an improper turn.

On July 17, Kendell Bell, 29, of 43 Thurston St., was arrested on Temple Street on a warrant for assault and battery.

On July 18, Robert Karnes, 29, of Medford, was arrested at 175 Fellsway on warrants for assault and battery and violating an abuse prevention order.

On July 22, Erin Sullivan, 32, of Lexington, was arrested at 532 Medford St. on a warrant for uttering a false prescription.
