Police Arrest Woman for Wednesday Morning Bank Robbery

Crystal Lynn Geary allegedly robbed the East Cambridge Savings Bank on Highland Avenue, according to Somerville police.

 

Police arrested a 22-year-old homeless woman Wednesday morning and charged her with robbing the East Cambridge Savings Bank at 285 Highland Avenue, according to an announcement from Somerville police.

According to the announcement, Crystal Lynn Geary went into the bank at about 10:37 a.m. and passed a note to the bank teller saying she had a bomb and to hand over $2000.

Geary then fled, but was caught by police a short distance from the bank, according to the announcement.

The announcement says bank employees identified Geary as the alleged robber.

She will be arraigned in Somerville District Court and charged with armed robbery and making a false bomb threat. Somerville police said the investigation is ongoing.

Now she is no longer homeless..She'll have a bed and 3 meals a day.

So what?!? The woman still committed a couple of crimes; Armed robbery and threats to commit a crime, and therefore, deserves some jail time for it. Let's hope they bring this woman to justice.
