The Somerville Fire Department took these photos of an excavator that fell into the basement of a building undergoing demolition.
According to an email from the fire department, the construction accident happened Tuesday at 181 Cedar St. at around 4 p.m.
The Somerville Fire Department's rescue company, along with building inspectors, responded to the incident, and there were no injuries, the email says.
