It was all part of the city's SomerStreets series of street festivals that take place throughout Somerville during the summer.

Upcoming festivals include:

  • Sieze the Summer, July 29, along Highland Avenue from City Hall to Cedar Street.
  • Going Green on Route 16, Aug. 19, along Alewife Brook Parkway, from Broadway to Dilboy Stadium.
  • Rolling on the Mystic, Sept. 15 (location to be announced)
  • Monstermashed UP, Oct. 28, along Somerville Avenue from Union Square to Beacon Street.
