No Snow Emergency in Somerville Yet

The city said via its official Facebook Page that it does not plan to declare a snow emergency.

Somerville is not planning to declare a snow emergency for Saturday night's storm, according to a posting on the city's official Facebook Page.

"Accumulation will occur over an extended period, mostly at night and be followed by a couple of days of clear weather in which to clean up. If there are changes, we will get the word out."

The city also encouraged those who go out Saturday night to be careful and stay alert for changing weather.

I went online the evening of Dec. 29th to see if there was anything about a parking ban. There was nothing so I assumed there was no ban. Suggestion to the City of Sommerville's website - state that there is no ban at this time versus making us sort through your the city's confusing website to try to find answers. Also, this email regarding no ban on Dec. 29th arrived in my email (fastest way to communicate) on Dec. 30th as do other interesting items being sent through Sommerville Patch. Day late, dollar short!!
