A Wakefield resident who's been missing for a week was last seen in Somerville's Assembly Square, and Wakefield police are looking for him.
William G. Francis, a resident of Centre Street, has been missing for the last several days, according to Wakefield Police, and police are looking to find him to check in on the man's wellbeing.
Wakefield Police said in a report that Francis has been missing from his Centre Street home since Tuesday, June 5.
Francis is described as a white male, 5'4", 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in Somerville near the Assembly Square Mall wearing a yellow coat, gray sweatpants with red shorts over them.
Police do not believe Francis is in any immediate danger at ths this time, as he has relatives in the area and has been known to live without a home before.
Francis was reported missing by the staff at Riverside Community Care, where he receives services. Police say he is not a safety threat to himself or others.
"It appears that this is a check on the party’s wellbeing at this time," said Lieutenant Scott Reboulet of the Wakefield Police Department. "It doesn’t appear that there are obvious signs of him being missing involuntarily or in imminent danger by being away for five days."
