We have now confirmed the people at , next door, are behind the project.

One of Johnny D's owners said they're still working on plans and they'd have more information about the venture later.

It does seem the cafe and bakery will feature locally sourced and natural foods.

Johnny D's, one of Davis Square's popular restaurants and music venues, is already committed to what its website calls "a healthier approach, a community approach" when it comes to food.

According to the website, the restaurant uses cage-free eggs, "grass-fed steroid antibiotic free ground beef" from western Massachusetts, 100 percent soybean frying oil and a host of other natrual and local foods.
