Guess Why a Snowy Owl Is On a Rooftop in Somerville
Some say Harry Potter is sending a message; others deem it a mysterious omen. Or maybe it's just looking for food.
Ever since Somerville resident James O'Keefe photographed what appeared to be a snowy owl on the roof of the Healey School, some have shared thoughts on Facebook about why the owl came to town.
Some say it's Hedwig, Harry Potter's messenger owl, bringing a note to a magical resident.
Meanwhile, Somerville's augurs have been taking the auspices; it's presence must be an omen.
Or maybe the bird is just looking for some good Brazilian food.
What do you think?

It's a bit unusual. Has anyone seen a snowy owl in Somerville before?

Perhaps someone decided that they were going to do a live Christmas display to one-up the inflatable snowmen and one of the "characters" escaped. Everyone should be on the look-out for a small deer with a painted nose. Actually, now that I think about it--that's pretty much the only explanation.
