Green Line Extension Design Working Group
Despite news of delays to the project, the Green Line Extension Design Working Group is meeting tonight to move forward with the station design process. Although not explicitly part of the meeting, it is expected there will be some discussion about recent delays in the schedule for completing the Green Line extension.
The meeting begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Argenziano School.
Discuss Green Line funding at the Metropolitan Planning Organization
The Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization, which helps decide how to allocate federal transportation dollars, is holding a workshop this evening to present "two important regional transportation planning documents," according to a flyer announcing the workshop. The two documents in question are related to the Long-Range Transportation Plan and the Transportation Improvement Program.
In short, these documents guide how federal transportation money will be spent in the Boston region—including for the Green Line.
Those interested in the Green Line extension may want to attend tonight's workshop, as federal funding is an important part of the project.
The workshop takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the State Transportation Building, 10 Park Plaza, Suite 2150 in the MPO conference room. Photo ID is required to enter the building.
