Among the collection of newspaper boxes outside Blue Shirt Cafe in Davis Square, one stood out.

It had little outstretched arms welded to its side and it was painted with sharp teeth and crazy eyes. Called, "Rawr: The Awkward Godzilla," it was designed by Artisan's Asylum artist Cat Tweedie Ball, according to Digboston, which distributed its weekly alternative newspaper using the box. It was one of several specially designed Digboston boxes in Somerville.

Now, according to the newspaper, the box is missing and possibly stolen.

One person commenting on the Digboston website thinks the whole thing is a publicity stunt.
