Ghost Stories from Legislators, Knitting for a Good Cause

Plus, the aldermen meet, and children get some ghost stories, too.

1) Ghost stories
State Sen. Pat Jehlen, state Rep. Denise Provost and other prominent Somerville figures will read ghost stories tonight at The Center for Arts at the Armory. The stories begin at 8 p.m.

2) Thriller Thursday
Younger Somervillians can hear spooky stories and play ghoulish games at 3:30 p.m. at the Somerville Public Library East Branch. Costumes are welcome.

3) Aldermen meeting
The Board of Aldermen meets tonight at 7 p.m. at city hall.

4) Knitting for a good cause
The Nave Gallery is holding a sale of handmade knit items on Nov. 5, 6, 12 and 13. It's called the Wrap Around Sale, and proceeds will benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition. Knitters are invited to the Nave Gallery tonight to make some of these knit items. Knitting begins at 5:30 p.m.

5) Weather
Rainy, foggy, windy, highs in the mid 40s, with some snow possibly falling later in the night. Yes, snow.
