Free Fiction Workshop, and Phoning Rep. Capuano

1) Free fiction workshop
Spark up your writing with a free fiction workshop at the Somerville Public Library West Branch. The workshop will provide some creative prompts and help writers develop new story ideas. It's from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is limited to 10 people. Register by e-mailing fjordy73@gmail.com

3) Bare Bones: The Oldest Profession
Theatre@First is putting on a staged reading of the play, The Oldest Profession, by Paula Vogel. Five actors portray five elderly prostitutes as they discuss their diminishing customer base. The performance is at 8 p.m. at Unity Somerville, 6 William St.

4) Tufts Jazz Ensembles II
Listen to some classic and contemporary jazz. Tonight at 8 p.m. at Fisher Performance Hall, Tufts University, 20 Talbot Ave. in Medford.
