1) Annual West Somerville Neighborhood Vendor Night
Over 30 vendors will be selling stocking stuffers, one-of-a-kind objects and gift ideas for all ages. It's from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the West Somerville Neighborhood School. There will also be raffles, treats and children's games.
2) Massachusetts Bay Veterans Center groundbreaking
A new veterans center is being constructed at 1323 Broadway outside Teele Square, and there's a groundbreaking today at 10 a.m. The center will provide 22 transitional and seven permanent housing units for homeless veterans.
3) Rockland Trust customer appreciation event
Rockland Trust, which recently bought Central Bank, is holding a customer appreciation weekend on Friday and Saturday. Customers who stop by the bank, at 399 Highland Ave. in Davis Square, will get chocolate bars. Find a silver ticket and you could win an iPad or gift cards.
4) Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day
Today is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, commemorating the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.
