Five Things: Ward 6 ResiStat Meeting

Also, some things to do in East Somerville.

 

1) Ward 6 ResiStat meeting
Ward 6 includes Davis Square, much of Ball Square and some neighborhoods around Porter Square. The ResiStat neighborhood meeting for this area of the city is at 6:30 p.m. at the Somerville Community Baptist Church.

2) Guatemalan kites
Carnaval is coming up this weekend, and you can make Guatemalan kits for the festivities tonight at Maya Sol Restaurant on Lower Broadway. Kite making begins at 6 p.m.

3) Two for Tuesdays
Also on Lower Broadway, get some restaurant deals as part of East Somerville Main Street's Two for Tuesdays initiative.

4) Book group for kids
Bring the kids, 9 to 12 years old, to the Somerville Public Library tonight for a discussion about Wonderstruck, by Brian Selznick. The discussion begins at 7 p.m.

5) Red Sox
The Red Sox play the Tigers tonight at 7:10 p.m.
