Also, a Somerville Cares About Prevention Meeting, and some wine.
2) There Once Was an Island
"There Once Was an Island" follows the lives of indigenous people off the coast of Papua New Guinea over the course of four years as their lives and cultures are changed by climate change. The screening is hosted by Somerville Climate Action and state Rep. Denise Provost. It's at 7 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.
3) Somerville Cares About Prevention
Somerville Cares About Prevention, which works to end substance abuse in the city, holds its annual meeting today at 6 p.m. at the Highlander Cafe at Somerville High School.
4) Wines of Beaujolais
Dave's Fresh Pasta is sampling wines from the Beaujolais region today. These wines are "not to be confused with Beaujolais Nouveau," says the listing. Rather, they're "delicate, fruity and nuanced with beautiful minerality." The class begins at 7:30 p.m.
5) Weather and Red Sox
The Red Sox are in Tampa Bay tonight to play the Rays at 7:10 p.m. Today will be sunny with a high around 71.
