Five Things: Tomes of Terror, Harvest Moon Party in Cambridge

Also, photos from Tufts' Chili Fest and an EmPOWER [exercise] Hour for domestic violence causes.

1) Tufts Annual Chili Fest
Check out these photos—to the right—of Tufts University's annual Station House Chili Fest. Held at Charmichael Hall, Chili Fest honors police and firefighters in the community. It was held Wednesday at the university.

2) Tomes of Terror: New Arrivals
Post-Meridian Radio Players present "Tomes of Terror: New Arrivals." The Players will perform some Halloween-season thrillers in the style of the Golden Age of radio. It's at 8 p.m. at Unity Somerville.

3) EmPOWER Hour
Get a workout at Corpbasics and raise money for domestic violence programs. Kristen Mercier will be leading the class, and there's a recommended $15 donation at the door, which will go to Reach Beyond Domestic Violence, Inc. After the workout, head over to Ebi Sushi, where you'll get 20 percent off your meal.

4) Party Under the Harvest Moon
Food For Free, a local hunger organization based in Cambridge that rescues food that would otherwise go to waste and distributes it to local food pantries and shelters that collectively serve nearly 25,000 people, is hosting its Party Under the Harvest Moon event tonight. There will be some great local food. It's from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at MIT's Morss Hall, Walker Memorial Building, 142 Memorial Drive, Cambridge.

5) Weather
Today will be rainy with highs around 67.
