Get Spooky at the SomerStreets Halloween Festival & Parade:

Sunday noon-4 p.m., Somerville Ave. will close to traffic and fill with pumpkins, ghosts, live music, craft vendors—and a few performance jack-o-lantern carvers attacking giant pumpkins with power tools (you might need protective goggles to watch that act). A costume parade and safe trick-or-treat kicks off the day. Knit One, Pearl One, Sip One:

On Sunday, Nave Gallery hosts a Knit-a-thon for charity, and if your good will won't get you there, perhaps you'll be tempted by the free wine and snacks. Knitters are invited for a 4-hour knitting (or crocheting) session to create work for Wrap Around, the gallery's annual sale of homemade woolens to benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition (Nov 12-14). Get Back to Our Roots—With the Autumn Hollow Band:

Roots music quintet the Autumn Hollow Band releases its first CD to the world—and Somerville—at Rosebud Diner on Saturday night. Take a 2,800-square-foot dance floor and add in Swing City Boston and you're sure to get one lindy-hopping dance party. Every Friday, live bands and a jitterbug-loving crowd gather at the Somerville City Club for a night of swing dancing. The music is hot, the dance floor always full and the lessons free. SomerStreets: Visite o Festival de Dia das Bruxas

Neste domingo, entre meio-dia e 4 p.m., Somerville Ave. estará fechada para carros e cheia de abóboras, fantasmas, música ao vivo, vendedores—e até uma apresentação de escultores atacando abóboras gigantes com ferramentas pesadas (você vai precisar de óculos protetores pra assistir este evento). Baile Swing na Sexta-Feira

Quando o Swing City Boston junta-se a um salão de 260 metros quadrados, o resultado com certeza é uma festa das boas.
