Five Things: Some Activities for Children

1) Rosalitas Puppets 
Rosalitas Puppets will perform a show about a magical bird, a sorceress, a silly dragon and a king at the Somerville Public Library today at 11 a.m. It's part of a statewide summer reading program called Dream Big Read.

2) Children's Day in Boston
Jugglers, face painting, music and more fun for kids will be at Boston City Hall Plaza today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

3) Boston Circus Guild in town
The Boston Circus Guild performance will include five acrobats, dance, music and other circus arts. It's at 8 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.

4) Sweet Soubrette at Rosebud
Sweet Soubrette, a New York ukulele musician whose music has been described as "dark pop," will be at Rosebud Bar & Grill tonight. She'll be joined by San Francisco singer and songwriter Juliet Strong.

5) Weather and Red Sox
The Red Sox play the Mariners tonight at 10:10 p.m. in Seattle. There's chance of thunderstorms today, but otherwise it will be partly sunny with highs in the 90s.
