Five Things: Music, Dancing, Laughs and Gas

Five things to know today.

 

1) Tufts Winds Ensemble
Listen to some Copland, Curnow and Iannaccone. The Tufts Wind Ensemble performs at 8 p.m. at the Granoff Music Center. It's free and open to the public.

2) Tango bootcamp
Want to tango? Tonight at 7 p.m. is Tango Bootcamp for beginners with Hernan Brizuela at the Tango Society of Boston. Advanced beginners have class at 8:15 p.m.

3) Pay for gas with your smart phone
Cumberland Farms, in an email, announced it has a SmartPay app that allows customers to pay at the pump using their smart phones. Better yet, it gets you a 5 cent discount per gallon of gas. More here.

4) Cheapshots Comedy Club
An open mic night for aspiring comics, and the winner gets a free dinner. It's at Sally O'Brien's at 7 p.m.

5) Weather
There's a chance of showers with highs in the lower 60s.
