1) Medical marijuana forum
The Somerville Office of Prevention is hosting what it calls a forum on medical marijuana. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Cross Street Center. Here's a description of the meeting, taken from the city of Somerville's website:

The Somerville Office of Prevention will be hosting this forum on the subject of Medical Marijuana. This will be your opportunity to get detailed information about how this proposed legislation will impact public health and safety in the city of Somerville and the entire state of Massachusetts. You will learn about the experiences of other states and communities that have experimented with medical marijuana, receive literature, and get answers to your questions  to educate you before the upcoming election. The speaker will be Cory Mashburn, Director of the Somerville Office of Prevention.

3) Pub trivia

4) Kickass Cupcakes food truck making the rounds
If you feel like making a road trip to sample food truck offerings, you may want to know that the Kickass Cupcakes food truck will be at truck festivals in Framingham (on Oct. 6) and in Newport, R.I. (on Oct. 20), according to an announcement on the site.

5) Weather and Red Sox
There's a chance of showers today, and highs will be around 77. The Red Sox play the Rays tonight at 7:10 p.m.
