Poet Mary Alexandra Agner will read from her new collection, The Scientific Mind, at 6:30 p.m. at the .

Learn what it takes to be a foster parent to children in the community who need a home. The session, run by , is free, and it will take place every Thursday. The first session is today at 10 a.m. at 265 Medford St.
