Five Things: Islamic Art in Cambridge

1) "In Harmony" Islamic art opening reception
This is happening in Cambridge, but some of you might be interested in it. About 150 pieces of Islamic art, from ceramics to illuminated manuscripts, drawings and Persian lacquer, will be on display at the Arthur M. Sackler Museum, 485 Broadway in Cambridge. There's an opening reception tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

2) Bacon Palooza
Today's your last chance sample the bacon-inspired recipes at Olde Magoun's Saloon.

3) Parental yoga
This class is "especially designed for you during your childbearing year," according to the listing. It's at O2 Yoga at 5:30 p.m.

4) Shamanic journey & healing circle
From the listing: "Each week we will explore through guided & drumming meditations, journeying, different aspects of shamanism that we can use in our lives: Find your power animals & guides, find out what you can do with them, how to awaken your connection with Nature & understand how she communicates with us, guided meditations for health & wellness and much, much more." It's at 7 p.m. at 16 Gorham St.
