1) International Market Tour
Join the Somerville Arts Council for an international market tour of Union Square. You'll learn where to get Nepalese timur, squid-ink pasta and Haitian Akasan (a cornmeal drink), according to an announcement from the Arts Council. It's from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and you should email artsuniontour@gmail.com to register for the tour.
2) Kids visit Obama's old Somerville apartment
Today, kids with the Elizabeth Peabody House's afterschool program, in honor of the political season, will visit President Barack Obama's old Somerville apartment at 365 Broadway, according to an announcement from the Elizabeth Peabody House. Obama lived at that address when he attended Harvard Law School in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
3) Somerville Adult Evening School registration
Somerville Adult Evening School has all sorts of classes, from Zumba to foreign languages to web design. You can register for classes tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Somerville High School. There will be other chances to register on Sept. 18 and 20.
4) Writers for Elizabeth Warren
